Zafina is back in Tekken 8, armed with the power of Azazel, of course. She wields a crystal ball but isn’t particularly keen on using it. Viola may be absent, but that ball evokes a familiar feeling. The boss creature that Jin resurrected in Tekken 6 remains a part of her moveset, and how! Zafina was showcased in earlier Tekken 8 gameplay videos and bears the responsibility of quelling the rage of the two stars.
In Heat Mode, Azazel grants Zafina some priority moves. The ground spikes move has also made a return, and it’s not as annoying as its debut on the huge foe. Zafina is a close-range fighter, with her pet seamlessly transitioning in and out of dimensions. The demon grapples with Zafina, even when she’s not summoning his power. Claudio might be the best person for the exorcist job, yet he might have to tussle with this one.
That Rage Art is really pulling out the stops with a huge hand to grip the foes. It’s nearly on the MVC Blodia / Jin level of pain. The Heat Smash looks to be a hand cyclone created by Azazel himself. What an entrance!
Zafina will be available as part of Tekken 8’s base roster, and Tekken 8 launches on January 26th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Steam.
