Sega released Virtua Fighter 3TB Online to the ALL.Net arcade systems today. At the current time, this is a Japan exclusive for the game to get this support. This has been the 3rd Virtua Fighter game to be re-released in the wild over the last few years. Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown was the first in 2021, with a focus on the PlayStation and updates to the graphics. Virtua Fighter 2 is also available from Judgement. Gameplay still being the same balance properties as it was back in its’ September 1997 release. Stairs, rooftops, train stations, and the Wall of China stage are still intact.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will hold the original arcade release as a mini-game as other Yakuza games did with no online play. Virtua Fighter 3TB was the updated version of the third main timeline game of Virtua Fighter. Virtua Fighter is the first fully 3D fighting game franchise created by Shenmue’s Yu Suzuki-led AM2 team from Sega.
Virtua Fighter 3TB 3TB introduced a KOF style take to the team battle. After nearly neck-and-necking both competitors Tekken and Dead Or Alive after Sega’s last console(the Sega Dreamcast) Virtua Fighter found life on the PlayStation 2 in the form of Virtua Fighter 4. Later, Virtua Fighter found life on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with Virtua Fighter 5. Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown is the last updated game – before Ultimate Showdown in 2021 – to come about in 2012. Sega doesn’t have plans to create a new VF yet, by the way.
Virtua Fighter 3TB will be playable via SEGA’s Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, which will be released on January 26th, 2024, and Virtua Fighter 3TB Online is available today in Japan.
