Pocketpair’s Palworld is a survival crafting title where you catch unique pals or monsters. Crafting and base management are a big part of the game, but unlike the other crafting titles, pals make life easier for you by automating most of the work. With over 100 unique pals on Palpagos Island, knowing which ones are the best to work with can be challenging – this article will clarify all your doubts about that.
1. Anubis
The Lucario, like pal Anubis, is the most useful pal for base management. Anubis comes with Handiwork 4, Mining 3, and Transport 2 abilities, which are nearly unmatched. It is small in size, so chances are very low that it will get stuck in a glitch. In fact, in my 90 hours of gameplay time, I have not seen my 10+ anubis (across 3 bases) to get stuck anywhere. Anubis, in general, is a late-game pal, but you can get him early through breeding.
2. Lyleen
The flower-fair Lyleen comes with Planting 4, Gathering 2, Handiwork 3, and Medicine Production 3 abilities. For farming activities, Lyleen is probably the best choice as she can single-handedly manage the whole operation except the watering part. Lyleen is a mid-game pal and can be found in the sanctuary in the northern part of the map.
3. Wumpo
Known as the Guardian of the Snowy Mountain, Wumpo is a large fluffy pal that comes with Transport 4, Handiwork 2, Lumbering 3, Freezing 2 abilities. It is one of the very few pals that has Lumbering 3 ability in addition to the extremely useful transport ability. And this makes it a must-have pal for the base. Wumpo is a mid-game pal and can be found in the northern snowy areas. It also has a variant of Wumpo Botan with almost similar abilities (planting in place of freezing), and it can be found in the sanctuary on the western side of the map.
4. Jormuntide Ignis
Jormuntide Ignis is a fire-breathing dragon that can not fly. You can say it is the Palworld version of Garados but of the fire element. It is the only pal on Palpagos island with Kindling 4 ability. It is very useful in creating a specialised workforce as it will not run around here and there and only be focused on fire activities. It also has a water version, Jormuntide, that has Watering 4 ability. But unlike Kindling, watering is not used much in the game.
5. Blazamut
The last pal to be on our list of the most useful pals for base management in Palworld is Blazamut. Known as Cursed Tyrant, Blazamut comes with Mining 4 and Kindling 3 abilities which makes it a must-have for your base. It is one of the few pals that comes with Mining 4. Blazamut can be considered a late-game pal and can be found inside a cave in the volcano areas, closest to the Ancient Civilization Ruins fast travel point.
