FURYU Corporation (Head office: Shibuya, Tokyo; President: Takashi Mishima, hereafter referred to as FURYU) is pleased to announce the release of “Yoshitoku×F:NEX Super Sonico -Japanese Doll- 1/4 Scale Figure”, a new product from the quality hobby brand “F:NEX” produced in collaboration with Yoshitoku, a long-established doll maker.
Pre-orders start from October 14 at “FURYU HOBBY MALL” a hobby EC site operated by FURYU.
“Super Sonico” is the live mascot character of Nitroplus. She is a gravure model and a musician, and is also involved in a wide range of other activities. She made her debut as the mascot girl for the live event “NITRO SUPER SONIC” on October 14, 2006, and today marks the 17th anniversary of her debut.
To commemorate the 17th anniversary of Super Sonico’s debut, “F:NEX” is now offering this figure as part of the “Japanese Doll Series,” a collaboration with Yoshitoku, a long-established doll maker, that has been well-received since its launch. The character’s appearance has been recreated with meticulous attention to detail. The obi (sash) is tied in a voluminous front knot, as depicted in ukiyo-e woodblock prints.
The traditional gold brocade, woven with gold and silver threads and gold and silver foil, adds to the luxuriousness of the figure. The shamisen she holds in her hand has been meticulously recreated down to the grain of the wood, and the gorgeous hair ornament is made of a clear material for a transparent finish. The “Sonico mark” on the back of her head makes this figure a must-have masterpiece for fans. This gorgeous “Super Sonico” figure is the perfect item for commemorating Super Sonico’s 17th anniversary.
