One of the more interesting things that we’re finding out about Street Fighter 6, is the “Real-Time Commentary” that will be present in the game. Capcom has worked with a number of well-known FGC commentators and incorporated their voices into the game. So when you’re playing the game, the goal is to make it feel like you’re competing in a tournament. All without actually being in one.
So far, both Jeremy “Vicious” Lopez (English) and Aru (Japanese) have been revealed, but Capcom isn’t stopping there. There’s a tall list of amazing and talented commentators in the fighting game community and Capcom has stated they’ll be adding more talent to the game.
Of course, the commentary will be pre-recorded, but I’m sure Capcom and the commentators will have thought about just what to include. Mainly when you’re doing well, doing a successful counterattack, or even when you’re getting destroyed. It’s a great way to build up hype, that’s for sure.
I have to say, this is exciting stuff. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product when Street Fighter 6 is released.
Street Fighter 6 heads to the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam), in 2023.
