Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has taken the world by storm, and it seems that almost everyone is hooked. However, while many beloved characters have come to appear in the new sequel game, some aren’t around to be seen. At the same time, ones like Sandman, Venom, and others are making their appearances, but some other classic characters are not. In the video game, we get to see MJ, Peter Parker’s love interest from the early Spider-Man series. But does Gwen Stacy appear in Spider-Man 2?

Gwen Stacy is The Amazing Spider-Man’s love interest, which we see in both the movies and comics from Marvel. Her superhero variant, Spider-Gwen, has become a lot more popular since she was in the new series of Spider-Man animated movies Across The Spiderverse. With there being so many different Spider-Men out in the universe, it is understandable why fans want to see these characters appear in the new video game.
Our beloved Spider-Gwen is unfortunately not in Spider-Man 2. There isn’t necessarily a reason as to why she isn’t featured somewhere within the story but with her sad death at the end of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, where she falls and “breaks her back,” causing her to die. However, with Peter and MJ having a serious relationship in Spider-Man 2, it would mix things up a lot to have both Gwen and MJ in the game.
While it was confirmed a while back that Gwen Stacy wouldn’t be a part of the story, there wasn’t really a reason as to why they chose for it to be that way. Currently, there are many rumors about the possibility of a Spider-Gwen game in the future; while none are confirmed, it is something that many Spider-Man fans are hoping will happen and be something to continue in the amazing series of Marvel’s Spider-Man video games.
