With pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 about to hit the United States and countries like Japan receiving overwhelming pre-order numbers, it’s clear that hype for the new console is reaching an all-time high. That means that gamers will start focusing less on the hardware that’s arriving soon, and more on the software they’ll get when it does. To that end, SEGA and Konami have dropped some huge news for gamers! They’ve announced that Sonic X Shadow Generations and the Suikoden remasters are now day one launch titles!
Sega announced they are adding Sonic x Shadow Generations to Switch 2's launch day lineup. Sega already has Yakuza 0 Directors Cut ready to go for Switch 2's launch.

This is a win for many reasons. First, it gives these games more exposure on a console where they could arguably be appreciated even more. Second, it bolsters the Nintendo Switch 2 lineup. Finally, these are really good games to play!
Sonic X Shadow Generations has already sold over 2 million copies, and you know that Sonic fans will want to play it on the go if possible. As for Suikoden 1 and 2 HD remasters, these are all-time classic RPGs that many have wanted remasters for, and so when they arrived not too long ago, it was a gamer’s dream come true!
It’ll be interesting to see if other 3rd party developers “upgrade” their upcoming Switch 2 ports to launch day titles or wait for more units to sell before dropping them on the console.
