Now that I have had the Pokemon GO Plus+ device for about a month, I have so much to say about this fantastic device made by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company. It might be dramatic to say, but I do feel this device has changed a small but important part of my life, and I am going to explain why.

How The Pokemon GO Plus+ Changed My Sleep Schedule
Okay, maybe it didn’t completely change my sleep schedule, but it is helping me look forward to sleep. As someone who has anxiety and struggles with wanting to go to bed and then wake up to deal with another day of worries and fears, knowing I get to hear Pikachu sing me a lullaby and then have the chance of getting cool Pokemon the next morning is something that encourages me to sleep at night.
While I am the type of person to no go to sleep until 2 a.m. most nights, it doesn’t affect the overall experience based on what time you go to sleep. However, if someone only gets four hours of sleep, they will have fewer rewards in the game the next day. It’s a good incentive to try and you to catch some Zzz’s, so you get more rewards, and who doesn’t like that?
Not only is the Pokemon GO Plus+ button great for Pokemon Sleep, but it also allows players to connect it to Pokemon GO, and it will automatically catch Pokemon, do Spins, and other cool interactions all by itself, so it makes it easy to bring with you on days out and not constantly stare at your phone. Something to note, though, is Pokemon GO will need to be up on your phone the whole time in order for the device to stay connected via Bluetooth, whereas Pokemon Sleep doesn’t need the app to be up if you use the button.
How The Pokemon Go Plus+ Button Really Works
The Pokemon Go Plus+ is basically nothing more than a button, having a single button on the top and one in the middle. The device does need to be charged in order to have the power to track and store your sleep on itself to then be moved over to your phone later. One thing I love about the device is even without internet or power. The device will continue tracking and holding your sleep until you can connect it to your phone again.
I will admit, there have been about two nights throughout the whole time where for some reason, in the middle of the night, it stopped tracking sleep, but that hardly happens, and part of me wonders if I rolled over and hit the button on accident which caused it to stop.
When it comes to the other functions of the Pokemon Go Plus+, it easily connects via Bluetooth to your mobile phone, allowing users to then click the button or hold it based on what the user wants to do. All the instructions on what buttons and movements do are included in the box when purchased.
I also loved the little details that were put into it, such as if I went to bed late that night, Pikachu would sound a lot more tired than if I went to bed earlier in the night. That is one of the coolest features to me, considering it gives it a more realistic feel.
Finally Thoughts
Personally, I love the Pokemon Go Plus+ button, and it seems that the Pokemon community also does as well, considering all the different accessories they have for the button. The device feels made well and hasn’t shown any glitches or issues that are concerning within the first month. It connects to Bluetooth easily to your phone and hasn’t been disconnected since I started using it. The battery life on the device is also incredible, considering I hardly ever have to charge it when I’ve used it for multiple nights straight.
I love the device and highly recommend it to anyone who also loves Pokemon and plans to use Pokemon Sleep a lot, especially if they have concerns about sleeping with their phone next to them charging all night.
