The Queen of Executions is here. ATLUS’s newest trailer for Persona 3 Reload brings the heiress and student council president Mitsuru Kirijo. Voiced by Allegra Clark.
The trailer begins with Mitsuru addressing the student body as the new Student Council president. Course Junpei makes light of the situation and asks the protagonist if he understood any part of the speech. To which the protagonist replies, “Not a clue”. It then leads to the new aspect of the game of reading with your party member. Mitsuru asks the question “what is the correct way to rule?” As she is the heiress to the Kirijo group, she will take over and will have to lead it in the future. She understands that a leader must be firm but gentle. Kind but strong. Understanding that cruelty may be necessary when ruling over a group or the masses. She takes a realist point of view when handling a nation. Knowing that she must maintain an image to present while acting as a ruler should be. We then see her Theurgy move into action. She summons Penthesilea and, using her Ice skills, cuts the shadows before freezing them and shattering them with a finger snap. Very Diamond Dust of Final Fantasy’s Shiva.
It then ends with her with the Protagonist at the Ramen spot, the Hagakure Bowl. Here it shows off Mitsuru’s fluency in French. Allegra Clark is also fluent in French, in reality, so Allegra voicing Mitsuru and speaking in French terms is nothing but amazing. Perfect enunciation. We see Mitsuru giving her compliments to the chef and asking for the ingredients for the boullion. To the confusion of the chef not knowing French terms, he asks what she means. Nonetheless, I say Allegra Clark nails the role of Mitsuru Kirijo. It was already great originally with Tara Platt, but Allegra really improved the role with her fluent French and presenting the Empress aura of Mitsuru. Truly C’est Magnifique!
The next trailer is expected to be Fuuka Yamagishi, the navigator of the group. Look forward to it next week! You can see the last character trailer of Akihiko Sanada here.
