It’s been a while since we’ve seen wrestlers take to fighting games on an involved level. Peacemaker seems to be the best we’ll be getting sooner than expected, with the WWE star John Cena jumping to Mortal Kombat 1. Not only is John Cena playing the character in the DCEU, but he’ll also be starring in the Suicide Squad sequel and Peacemaker Season 2, directed by James Gunn. Cena’s likeness and voice will return for the game.
Peacemaker will be available on February 28th for Early Access from the Kombat Pack 1. Netherrealm Studios confirmed that a new season will start at the same time. Everyone else will be able to purchase Peacemaker’s DLC on March 7. Crossplay, which is still absent from the current game, was mentioned to be available around this time back in December through a live stream, so, hopefully, Mortal Kombat 1 will finally get crossplay support with this new update on February 28, 2024.
Peacemaker is preparing for his arrival in the New Era. Early access will be available on February 28, along with the arrival of the new season around the same time. Details on both will be coming later this month. #MK1 @MortalKombat pic.twitter.com/ysoSUWSw6g
