We all know the Nintendo Switch is in its “final days.” 2024 will likely be its last “true year” before Nintendo busts out its successor. But thanks to the software lineup that The Big N has produced, the console is still selling incredibly well worldwide. To that end, the November NPD data for consoles came out recently, and one insider noted that in the US, the Switch has surpassed the Xbox 360 in lifetime sales, making it the 3rd-best-selling system in US history.
That’s impressive for various reasons, not the least being that the only two that are ahead of it are the Nintendo DS and PS2.

While we can’t say how much more the Nintendo Switch will sell, the fact that it’s still setting records while in its “last days” is something Nintendo fans will happily cheer about.
