Atlus and Vanillaware’s upcoming Tactical RPG, Unicorn Overlord, is on everyone’s mind for all the right reasons. However, why the game is still quite a bit away from being released, that didn’t stop Atlus and Vanillaware from tossing us a bone until then. The pair have released four minutes of 16-bit arranged music for us to listen to. How thoughtful of them.
This short sampling of the Unicorn Overlord 16-bit arranged album includes five different tracks: Farde Mal Diavolo, Foul Daemon, Medley (Main Theme – Map Theme), Drakenhold Medley (Stage Theme – Battle Theme), Cornia Medley (Stage Theme – Battle Theme), and Bastorias Medley (Stage Theme – Battle Theme). This Unicorn Overlord 16-bit Arranged Album was composed by Basiscape, and the original soundtrack is the same.
Check out the sweet music below.
The music sounds great, and I’m looking forward to seeing how Vanillaware handles the tactical RPG genre. Not only is it one of my favorite RPG genres, but Vanillaware happens to be one of my favorite developers. I still give Dragon Crown Pro and Odin Sphere Liedrasir a play ever so often.
When you’re done listening to the music, be sure to check out 8 minutes of gameplay from Unicorn Overlord.
Unicorn Overlord releases on March 8, 2024, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch. Sadly, there won’t be a release for the PC.
