Yesterday was a huge day for Nintendo fans, as the first news reveal for the “Nintendo Today” app revealed that The Legend Of Zelda Movie will arrive in theaters on March 26th, 2027. That alone is enough to keep us talking for like a week or so. However, Nintendo and other sites didn’t stop there. It’s been revealed via Production List that the movie will start filming this November, the film will be shot in New Zealand, and there’s even chatter among other sources that the film could be the start of a trilogy!
The Legend of Zelda movie is being planned as the first in a trilogy.
According to movie industry insider Daniel Richtman, all major acting roles will be signed for three films planned over six years.

So, yeah, that’s more than people expected! Also, the list revealed the official synopsis for The Legend of Zelda movie. Check it out below:
“A live-action adaptation of the video game franchise. ‘The Legend of Zelda’ follows Link, a young warrior destined to protect the magical kingdom of Hyrule from the forces of darkness. The land is under threat from Ganon, a ruthless warlord who seeks the Triforce—an ancient relic said to grant limitless power. To stop him, Link must embark on a perilous journey, battling monstrous creatures, exploring treacherous dungeons, and solving intricate puzzles to uncover sacred artifacts that can aid him in his quest.”
