We are accepting pitches at this time, and we’d love to have you write for us! Seeing how we’re a gaming and geek culture outlet, we’re taking all sorts of ideas for articles. To get you started, here a some of the subjects we allow!
Things we’re looking for
- Video Games (reviews & previews)
- TV & Film (reviews & previews)
- Guides (we love guides)
- Lists
Of course, we’re open to anything related to those subjects and anything not related to them. If you think you have something interesting, then pitch it up.
Here’s what we’re looking for right now
- Elden Ring Shadows of the Erdtree
- XDefiant
- Destiny 2: The Final Shape
- No Rest For The Wicked
- Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance
- Star Wars Outlaws
- Guides for upcoming games that aren’t mentioned. Reach out to us and let us know your ideas.
What your pitch idea should include
- It should be about something recent unless you feel this idea is timeless.
- You should have a clear argument for why this idea should be written. Is it interesting? Is it compelling?
- Why are you the right person for this idea? Pitch us! Entice us! Hold us hostile (maybe don’t do that).
Be informative
More than anything, whatever you submit must be informative. Have you done your homework and researched your topic? Would it make sense to the readers? Does it make sense to you? A good pitch needs to be clear and concise more than anything.
We’re inclusive
We don’t care who you are or what you are. We’re all fellow geeks and nerds, and as long as your pitch, guide, or list makes sense and is compelling, that’s all we care about. The Outerhaven is a place for everyone, and that’s how it will be!
That said, we have a limited budget, and not everything submitted will be approved. Nor will everything that gets to us is a fit for what we do here.
