The modern-day Dune adaptations have a unique history in movie theaters. The first one was supposed to come out in 2020 but then got pushed to 2021 by a whole year due to the global pandemic. Fast forward to now, Dune: Part Two was supposed to be out by now, but it got pushed back due to the actor’s strike. But even with those setbacks, the first movie was a hit and critical darling, and the sequel aims to take things to the next level. The third trailer for the film dropped today, showing the conflicts to come.
We see Paul Atreides struggling with his visions and trying to be there for his new partner and her people. It doesn’t help that the enemy is closing in around them, and the “possible futures” for them all tend to end badly. Trust is a key factor in this film, and the trailer highlights that many relationships will be tested.
Dune: Part Two arrives on March 1st.
