It’s a big day for Star Wars fans, and 2024 aims to be a big year for the franchise. Just on the Disney+ side of things, four different series are set to arrive, including some taking place well outside the “Skywalker Saga.” But there are a few series that are waiting to get their ‘second seasons’ out, and one of them is Ashoka. The series starring the fan-favorite character debuted in 2023 and got some interesting feedback from fans (check out my review!). But unlike Andor, Ahsoka Season 2 was not confirmed ahead of time.
But it was confirmed today! On the official Star Wars website, they announced “The Mandalorian & Grogu” movie, and within that announcement came this statement:
“The Mandalorian & Grogu will lead Lucasfilm’s ongoing feature-development slate, including films helmed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold, and Dave Filoni, who is also currently developing Ahsoka Season 2, among those in the works.”
So there you have it, we’re getting Season 2! It likely won’t be released for some time, but at least it’s in the works!
