Falcom’s upcoming RPG for the PS4, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, has gone gold. This news comes directly from Falcom, via tweet that was posted earlier today.
“The final master version has arrived! I’m started to play. We don’t worry about. No longer with this late release date is highly unlikely. YS Ⅷ-Lacrimosa of DANA-[PS Edition] 5/25/2017 (Thursday) release”
In the latest installment of Ys, our hero, Adol, finds himself washed ashore on the cursed island known as Seiren Island.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will be released for the PS4 in Japan on May 25th, 2017. It will arrive later this fall for North American on both the PS4 and PC.

This is fantastic news, and I can’t wait until the title is playable in North America. That is unless the Japanese version has English subtitles. If it does, I suppose there’s no reason not to get that version.
