While I really didn’t want to report on this, being in this position and the whole journalistic ethics thing, I am obliged to do so. Not too long ago, Ed Boon, took to Twitter to ask the fans of Mortal Kombat what they wanted NetherRealm Studios to focus on. One of those options was to get Mortal Kombat XL on the PC and surprise, surprise, that option actually was the winner with over 10,000 people asking for that to happen. Of course, at the time, no one expected it to happen.
Over 10,000 of you voted. Looks like you guys really want a PC MKXL and some character love/buffs! We hear ya! pic.twitter.com/1oHB4e3yHL

Well, now it seems that getting Mortal Kombat XL on the PC may actually happen after all. A few days ago, a new post from Ed boon popped up, this time with a picture of a circuit / PCB board and a question. In that question were capital letters, which when pulled out spelled “MKXLPC” or Mortal Kombat XL PC.

Now, I’m not sure how to take this. As a PC gamer and someone who purchased Mortal Kombat X for the PC, I felt shafted when WB Games and NetherRealm upped and left the PC gaming community high and dry. So if this actually does happen, now it becomes a trust issue. Can we trust either company to make good on something that was promised from the start? For that matter, does MKX even have any legs left with Injustice 2 right around the corner?
It looks like I’m not the only one conflicted here as the PC community has also responded to the tweet, with split reactions. Many do want updates, while others simply don’t care anymore. Either way, it’s definitely a cause for discussion if anything.
Were you someone who purchased Mortal Kombat X for PC and if so, how do you feel about these recent events?
