Divinity: Original Sin 2, the sequel to one of my favorite RPG’s in quite some time, is heading to Steam’s Early Access on September 15, 2016. Just like the Divinity: Original Sin, the game will provide access to everyone who did not have a chance to back the title on Kickstarter and will be there that we’ll see all the updates and improvements to the title during its development cycle.
The page for the title is already live on Steam. Included in the Early Access will five playable races – Human, Elf, Lizard, Dwarf, and Undead. Each race will have their own unique playstyle and abilities. In addition, one of the biggest draws of is the multiplayer co-op, which lets you play with up to 3 additional players. This even ups the ante from the Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition, which only allowed for 2 play co-op action. Divinity: Original Sin 2 will also involve you in a much darker storyline than the original title and will be powered by the newly created Divinity Engine 3.0.
As a fan of the Divinity: Original Sin, I can’t wait to get my hands on this.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 was original funded on Kickstarter in just under 12 hours! The initial funding goal was set at $500,000, however, the title had been funded at $590,000 with 34 days left to go. In the end, the Kickstarter was funded at over 2 million dollars.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 will be available on PC once it is released. PlayStation 4 and Xbox versions have not been confirmed as of yet.
