Sony has released the first trailer, so what is being penned as the final chapter of the Resident Evil film series. Ironically enough, the film is being called Resident Evil: Final Chapter. Originally, ain’t it? In this final film, the series heroine Alice finds herself back in Raccoon City for the final battle with Umbrella Corporation. Now, you’re probably asking why is she in Raccoon City, when the at the end of Resident Evil: Retribution, she was at the White House and surrounded. Hey, this is Resident Evil, anything goes.
Plot-wise, we don’t know much other than what Sony has released regarding the film.
“Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, Alice (Milla Jovovich) is the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead. Now, she must return to where the nightmare began – The Hive in Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.
In addition to Jovovich reprising her role as Alice, Both Shawn Roberts as Albert (Total Saturation) Wesker, Ali Larter as Clair Redfield, and Iian Glen as Doctor Isaacs. Regardless if you’re a fan of the Resident Evil film series or not, I’m split myself, you can’t deny that the trailer was catchy as all heck. Who doesn’t love Guns N’ Roses’ “Paraside City”, along with plenty of action sequences and one slick looking bike?
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter opens in January 2017.
