For the first time ever, children all over the world got to see Optimus Prime and Megatron do battle on the big screen… And see a lot of fan favorite characters die in horrible horrible deaths that had them crying all the way home. This is the legacy of the 1986 Transformers Movie which officially turns 30 today.
Now I personally love the living crap out of the film. I could go into a full review, but I might save that for the upcoming 30th Anniversary Bluray that Shout Factory is currently in the stages of restoring and transferring from 35mm film to 4K digital perfection.
