wWhen Activision announced that they were re-releasing Marvel Ultimate Alliance for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, fans were ecstatic. Sure, it’s the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 that they were asking for, but it’s better than nothing. However, the folks on the PC side of things didn’t fare as well as their console counterparts and were left with a mostly broken game. As you can imagine, those who picked up the title weren’t too thrilled.

Thankfully, Activision is making good on their PC port and has released a new patch that addresses most of the complaints.
- This patch includes the following fixes:Controller mapping improvements that address both Xbox One and Xbox 360 buttons, triggers, and a problem specifically with the A button
- General improvements to audio and fixes for the crackling sounds
- Improvements to player invitations for Marvel Ultimate Alliance
- UI updates and fixes for desync/disconnection issues when playing online
Hopefully, this will be enough to help win back those who have been burnt or at the very least show that Activision has heard the complaints. Well, it was either that or Disney stepped in and made it happen, they do own the licenses, after all. That said, never should have happened. Isn’t that what quality assurance is supposed to address before the games are even pushed out the door?
“Both the standalone and bundled versions of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 feature all of its original DLC,” reads a statement from Activision. “We are still working on making the DLC for the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance available in the coming weeks as a free update for everyone who has purchased the title on these platforms alone or as part of the bundle.
Now, if only Telltale Games could work the same magic with their PC release of Batman: A Telltale Game series.
