OMG, 2K Sports! If I didn’t already love your games, I’d love you today. Sorry if I’m getting ahead of myself, but it was recently announced today that the entire 1992 USA Basketball team, or more known as the “Dream Team” will be available in NBA 2K17. Now, let that sink in for a moment. The entire team, as in even “Sir Charles Barkley”, who hasn’t licensed his likeness in a game since NBA 2K13. Oddly enough, NBA 2K13 was missing one other Dream Team member, Scott Pippen.
However, this time around things are different. This time, the entire roster will be featured in NBA 2K17, unlike in NBA 2K13. Charles Barkley, Larry Bird, Clyde Drexler, Patrick Ewing, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Christian Laettner, Karl Malone, Chris Mullin, Scottie Pippen, David Robinson and John Stockton
There is a catch, however, one being that the Dream Team roster is being used a pre-order incentive, instead of being openly available in the game. So as of now the only way to get the most famous Olympic basketball team of all time is to pre-order NBA 2K17. That said, if you’re a huge basketball fan like I am, then this is a no-brainer. Heck, I still have a VHS recording of the blow-out game against. This is exciting news, folks.
NBA 2K17 launches on September 20, 2016, for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
