In a desperate attempt to conquer Assiah, he sends his son instead, intending for him to eventually grow into a vessel capable of possession by the demon king.Blue Exorcist follows Rin Okumura who appears to be an ordinary, somewhat troublesome teenager—that is until one day he is ambushed by demons. His world turns upside down when he discovers that he is in fact the very son of Satan and that his demon father wishes for him to return so they can conquer Assiah together. Not wanting to join the king of Gehenna, Rin decides to begin training to become an exorcist so that he can fight to defend Assiah alongside his brother Yukio.
After a popular run of TV anime in 2011 and an animated feature film in 2012, hit shounen manga Blue Exorcist (Ao no Exorcist in Japan) will be making its return to television with a new anime season! It all started when the official website received a makeover with a countdown clock. While the countdown was still ticking down for English fans, Japanese fans already had the new revealed.
There is start date for the second season of Blue Exorcist; however, it will air sometime in 2017. There is a rumor going around that UVERworld will return to sing the theme song for the show. They are known for supplying the opening to last year’s Arslan Senki as well as the fourth opening to the popular D.Gray-man, which is returning this upcoming weekend.
