What’s up, everyone! As we previously mentioned, we are starting back up our gift box reviews and our first contestant is a new entry into the gift box scene; GeekFuel. GeekFuel is a monthly service that caters to just about everyone; Gamers, Comic Book friends, Toy fans and Zany collectible people, all of which I just happen to be. And before we go any further, we have to state that this month’s GeekFuel gift box was sent to us for review. Though just because it was sent to us doesn’t mean we’re going to cut them any slack. If it’s good, we’ll let you know, if it’s not something we’d recommend then we’ll let you know that as well. Fair is fair and the bottom line is that you the consumer want to make sure that this is definitely worth your hard earned cash and we want to make sure you get the best bang for your buck.
So, let’s get to our very first GeekFuel gift box! This is for the month of April 2016 and the theme of this gift box is actual several which includes Star Wars, Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War and everyone’s favorite, Doctor Who.

What we thought about each item
Funko Wacky Wobbler Star Wars: Episode 7 – First Order Stormtrooper Action Figure – $14.99
Being the only piece of Star Wars merch in this month’s GeekFuel offering, I was pretty happy to see this guy in the box. Mainly because I was actually going to be adding them all to my collection, so that’s one off my list that I don’t have to pick up. Though I’m not sure why Funko has two different lines of Star Wars: The Force Awakens Stormtrooper. There’s the Wacky Wobbler and there there’s the regular Funko Pop! Vinyl bobble heads. Either way, it’s a win/win for us, the fans and collectors.

Fallen: A2P Protocol – Steam Game – $19.99
Fallen: A2p Protocol is a little-known game that is available on Steam. It is a top-down / isometric, turn-based game, which is similar to X-com. Though I’ve played this before and I didn’t come across impressed at the time. Still for the price of the GeekFuel gift box and the fact that this is a $20 dollar game, I can’t complain.
That said, I’ll likely just give this code away to someone on our Twitter feed, so keep watching.
The Doctor Travels Through Art History Coaster Set – $10
I’m not a Doctor Who fan by any stretch of the imagination, though I can appreciate something like this coaster set. Included in this coaster set are 4 famous pieces of art that have had the Tardis (Phone Booth) inserted in each of the pieces. It won’t get much use out of me, but I do happen to know a few Doctor Who fans who will love this. Maybe I’ll just give it to one of them because I’m a nice guy.
Doctor Who The Tenth Doctor Year Two #2.1 GeekFuel Exclusive Comic – $3.99
Yet another GeekFuel Doctor Who exclusive item, the Doctor Who The Tenth Doctor Year Two #2.1 comic with a variant cover. Word is there are also 1,500 copies out there with a special black and white variant cover as well. Didn’t get that, but I am a comic book collect at heart, so Doctor Who fan or not, this goes into the vault.
GeekFuel Issue #15 April 2016 Mini-Magazine
Regardless if it’s GeekFuel or another gift box, I always love reading these mini-magazines. And this month was especially cool since it had a feature on Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, another feature on Cosplay and several other interesting stories. It even has a video game section!

GeekFuel April 2016 Item Card
This one is self-explanatory, at least I hope so. Every month this card will accompany a GeekFuel gift box and will detail every item that is included in the gift box. Not only that, but it’s pretty cool to look at and collect.
Marvel’s Avengers Captain America Shield Sticker – ??
Eh, not really much I can say about this sticker only then it’s chromed out. Nothing too special, though it would look good on a computer case, a book cover or even in the hands of your own super hero around the house. Me, I gave it to my son and I know its going to end up somewhere that I don’t want it to be.
Captain America vs Iron Man “Smash’em, Crash’em” T-shirt – Priceless!
Hands down the best item in this month’s GeekFuel gift box was this Captain America vs Iron Man T-shirt. Envisioned as an old classic Rock EM’, Sock’em game, we get to see Shell Head take on Marvel’s boy scout, in a battle to the death? I love when a really nice t-shirt is included, though at the same time I hate them. Why? Because my wife typically takes them from me or claims them first and well, she’s the wife… she wins by default.
No… damn it, no. This is my shirt! MY SHIRT!
I also like that little touch of where the match takes place. For those paying attention, Fogwell’s Gym is the very same gym that both Jack Murdock and his son, Matt Murdock, trained.
Overall Impressions:
This being my first gift box from Greek fuel, I have to say that I’m impressed. There’s a lot going on for this month and for my very first GeekFuel gift box. I love the t-shirt, even though it may put a strain on my marriage and the Star Wars: TFA bobble head is already in my collection of Funko’s. Though putting Fallen: A2P Protocol into the bunch kind of hurts, but not by much I don’t know how GeekFuel vets what they put into the box, but I hope that this free download isn’t something we’re going go through every month. I enjoyed everything else, however.
