Well, would you look at that? We finally got a release date for Persona 5, even though it’s only in Japan currently. Just recently announced by Atlus, Persona 5 will release on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on September 15, 2016. Sadly there wasn’t any mention of a North American release date as of yet, though it is coming.
Oddly enough, this means that the eagerly awaited 5th chapter in the Persona series will also release in the same month as another eagerly awaited RPG, Final Fantasy XV. September is going to be a busy month for PlayStation RPG players.
In addition to the announcement was mention of an anniversary edition that will set you back 13,800 yen. Included inside is a five CD soundtrack complication from the entire Persona series, an art book, a treasure box, several pieces of DLC and of course the game.
And it wouldn’t be a Persona announcement without yet another kick-ass looking video. The previous Persona 5 PV’s were pretty cool and this latest one is no exception.
Japan, September 15 2016, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4… Got it?
