Sony’s Shawn Layden took to the official Playstation blog earlier today to announce that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, will no longer be an April title. The game’s release has been pushed back to May 10th. The additional two weeks, said Layden, would be to allow for more manufacturing time. Uncharted 4 will be seeing a worldwide release as opposed to a regional one, and the post says that these measures are being taken to “meet the considerable worldwide demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one.”
This is not the first time Naughty Dog has pushed back the highly anticipated closing chapter in the Nathan Drake saga. First it was March, then April. However, Layden confidently stated that the game is on track to gold, and if the recent story trailer is any indication of the game’s state, that confidence is warranted.
