Symphonic Fantasies Tokyo is offspring of a collaboration from both the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tokyo Philharmonic Chorus that took place on Janurary 7th & 8th 2012. The concert, led by Eckehard Stier, was held at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Main Hall and showcased music from many fan favorites from the Square-Enix gaming catalog including; Kingdom Hearts, Secret of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 2), Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger / Chrono Cross.
Several months later, Square-Enix released the concret as a 2-CD set title, Symphonic Fantasies Tokyo with the following tracks;
