After recent news of the departure of Half-Life writer Marc Laidlaw’s departure from Valve, new reports have suggested that the company will make Left 4 Dead 3 its top priority. Along with with breaking news, a potential release date and character line up has also been reported.
Valve’s Left 4 Dead franchise released its second game in 2009 and has had gamers begging for a third ever since, along with their other titles. This report, given by Express, claims that Left 4 Dead 3 has been given a 2017 release date. They also claim that there are still four characters with the sole female being named ‘Kathrine’, keeping the player format as three males and one female. The three male characters are are named and described as a gangster named Irvin, a comic book nerd named Keenan, and a famous Kenpo fighter named Garrett Jr.
With the addition of new characters, it is also reported that six new campaigns will be added to Left 4 Dead 3. This includes the maps named Cliff-Hanger, Early Destination, Crash Land, Impasse, Inquisitor Land and a map from previous games, No Mercy. It seems that gamers will be playing Left 4 Dead 3 sooner than Half-Life 3 if this news is legit since reports claim the latter will be pushed back for Left 4 Dead.
