While the back and forth between the SJW’s of the gaming community and PlayAsia continues, it was noticed that Koei Tecmo was quiet regarding the entire situation. And while there was communications from the company, it was via employees who worked for Koei Tecmo and not from the powers that be. That is until today, as the company has finally acknowledged the back and forth and as made an official announcement regarding the status of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 in North America.
“We remain focused on delivering the best in fighting entertainment to our fans around the world, while consciously respecting and strategizing to support the different global audiences the Dead or Alive franchise lends itself to.
Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 remains in development and is still planned for release in Japan and Asia only.”

So there you have it. The North American region will not receive a port of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 and the only way to play it will be to import it. That said, those who want the game will still be able to play it and in english thanks to the Asian version, but there is something else deeper than needs to be addressed.
If we as a community allow certain people and organizations to dictate what is deemed appropriate for the masses, then where does it end? I for one don’t care at all for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, but I also don’t agree that people that are against a title speak for the those who are interested in it. In the end it should be those who purchase the title who speak on the volume and if another will be produced for a specific country region, not these so called SJW’s. If we start letting them make decisions for everyone, then where does it stop? What happens if they start getting cranky about fighting games next? What if they deem that punching and kicking the crap out of someone else in a game mind you, is to violent?
Believe me folks, this isn’t the last we’ll hear of this, regarding Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 or any other games that others deem that they speak for the entire populus of gamers. In fact, Street Fighter V may already been a result of this, but that’s merely speculation as Capcom isn’t speak on this.
Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 will still release the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2016, just not in North America.
As a gamer, how do you feel about that?
