Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was, by most accounts, a great game. But even great games have their issues.
Many have complained about performance issues, particular on Playstation 4. Like other large, open world games such as Skyrim or Fallout 3, Witcher 3 also experienced graphical issues such as framerate drops, camera sticking and pop-in. With the new expansion for the title, Hearts of Stone, due out in a few weeks (October 13th), many have been clamoring for some kind of update or patch to swoop in and save the day just in time to tackle new content.
Don’t worry, that patch is coming, promised CD Projekt Reds’ Community Lead Marcin Momot on the developer’s forum. Patch 1.09 will most likely be released shortly before the upcoming DLC. The Community Lead says this:
“The patch is on the way. Was just looking at the changelog and it looks really impressive – the list of changes is massive. The update will bring a lot of fixes and improvements including PS4 performance (as well as other platforms) plus many more. We ask for a bit more patience.”
I have faith, considering the developer has been very transparent and genuine relative to their contemporaries.
