The success of Divinity: Original Sin was nothing short of amazing. So it’s no reason why the sequel, Divinity: Original Sin II, which was launched on Kickstarter and funded the same day, is doing just as well or even better. So Larian Studios behind, the team behind the title has announced that they’ve hit their most recent funding stretch goal of $1.5 million and as such they’ve added a new playable section for the game; The Hall of Echoes.
“What is the Hall of Echoes?
A mysterious realm between reality and the Void, the Hall of Echoes is called a heaven by some, a hell by others. Upon their deaths, all souls all drawn toward the Hall; those who resist remain on Rivellon as undead. Souls successfully pulled into the Hall naturally drift toward the Forge, where they will be reborn, or the Void, where they will be consumed. Those who remain in the Hall face a pleasant reality, perhaps indescribable to mortal sensibilities. They must decide, or drift, of their own accord toward the Forge or the Void.”
So congrats to everyone who helped the team reach this goal. And now they’ve gone added yet another stretch goal; Dedicated Mod Support. AS mentioned, if they hit this goal they will hire a special team that will be focused exclusively on enhancing, streamlining, and user-friendly-ifying the very powerful editor used to create Divinity: Original Sin (the same we’re using for its sequel!).
And lastly, they’ve announced that they’ll be hosting an “AMA” on Reddit, this upcoming 9/22/2015 at 1PM PST/4PM EST. Don’t miss it!
