The staff of the live-action film adaptation of Yusei Matsui‘s Assassination Classroom manga revealed at a stage event atTOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills in Tokyo on Friday that the television anime series is getting a second season and the live-action film will also get a sequel.
The live-action film sequel, titled Ansatsu Kyōshitsu~Sotsugyō-hen~ (Assassination Classroom ~Graduation Edition~), will open in Japan in 2016.
The television anime series premiered in Japan on January 9, and Funimation is streaming the series as it airs. The series is listed at 22 episodes.
The live-action film adaptation opened in Japan on March 21.

A humorous and action-packed story about a class of misfits who are trying to kill their new teacher – an alien octopus with bizarre powers and super strength! The teacher has just destroyed the moon and is threatening to destroy the earth – unless his students can destroy him first. What makes things more complicated is that he’s the best teacher they’ve ever had!
Matsui launched the manga in Shueisha‘s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2012, and Shueishawill publish the 14th volume on May 1.
