A user by the name of ‘Crateman’ on the NeoGAF forums posted an e-mail regarding the Latin American Sony Entertainment Network earlier this morning, announcing that Sony of Latin America will no longer be supporting the English Language as the default for the PlayStation Store effective tomorrow, January 20th.
Dear Valued Customer,
We wanted to let you know that effective January 20, all English language accounts in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru will need to be changed to Spanish language to continue to access the PlayStation Store. This change will take place across PlayStation platforms including: PS4™ PS3™ PS Vita, PSP (Mexico only), web store and the mobile store. Please note that this will not affect the content you already own.
For a smooth transition we recommend you change the language setting by signing into your account.
You can find further information regarding this change here.
Thank you for your continued support,
The PlayStation Store team
In an FAQ about the change, posted last Friday, Sony indicated that LATAM account languages either need to be in Spanish or Portuguese in order to access the PlayStation Store.
