Despite the claims made by those who leaked information about the upcoming The Elder Scrolls VI: Oblivion remake, the game does not appear to be releasing this week. However, Bethesda does have something planned, as it posted an update on Twitter and BlueSky stating that something will be revealed on 4/22/2025 at 11am ET/8am PT—which is tomorrow.

If you visit the Bethesda Softworks YouTube page, the title simply reads, “All will be revealed…”
That’s it. No release date. No further info. Nothing. But with just that, you can bet everyone will be tuning in to see what Bethesda has to say—and whether Bethesda will ultimately shadow-drop the game during this event.
During the recent episode of Spectator Mode Podcast, I joked that Bethesda was going to fool everyone by not releasing the game this week, as the leaks had suggested it would. So, I suppose I willed that into existence.
In any case, it will be fascinating to see what unfolds during this The Elder Scrolls event.
Truth be told, I’d much rather find out about the status of The Elder Scrolls VI, which was revealed back in 2018. We haven’t heard anything beyond this reveal, which is nothing short of amazing—Bethesda has been tight-lipped about the next chapter in this massive series.
As for tomorrow’s event, you can be sure we’ll be covering it to the best of our abilities. So, be sure to check back!
