It looks like SNK did a Frasier Crane impression, listened to feedback, and gave players the second open beta chance they deserved for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Inorder to course correct on any last minute network issues and the last beta, the team has added a few new features to this test build which was announced yesterday evening. The dates are locked for next week:
- Start: March 26 at 10:00 p.m. PT / March 27 at 1:00 a.m. ET
- End: March 31 at 1:00 a.m. PT / 4:00 a.m. ET
From the looks of it, Tizoc, Kain, B Janet, Hotaru, Terry, Rock, Preecha, Mai, and Vox Reaper, will be taking center stage for the second run. Tizoc being available for the first time, in the game, for players will serve as the grappler. No need to go all Jurassic Park, as King Of Dinosaurs, anymore for his Southtown return and don the original face persona fans have missed from Tizoc since his The King of Fighters XIV appearance.
Training Mode will be available, also. 4 stages will be playable: Training, Bar “Street Stars”(Rock’s stage – in which he seems to be old enough to be allowed in this time), Universal Arena(Tizoc’s stage), and Training Ground(Vox’s stage). Training and Classic Versus seem to be the new modes available for this run, giving fans a chance to lab characters to their hearts’ content. Also, just in case if alot of the new system mechanics are not sticking as of yet. The original mdoes from the last beta, Online Profile, Leaderboard, Ranked Match, Casual Match, Room Match, will return.
The usual ecosystem subscriptions, such as PlayStation Plus or Xbox Core, will not be required to participate in the open beta.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be available on April 24th for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
