Remember that PlayStation Network Outage that occurred last week that robbed you of precious Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test 2 fun time? Well, you’re in luck as Capcom has announced the extension of the beta’s second session for not just PlayStation gamers but also for the Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
The extension runs for this upcoming weekend, which could be a problem for many Monster Hunter Wilds fans who also got into the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test, just like me.
Open Beta Test 2 New Hours:
• Thursday, February 13 at 7 pm PST / 10 EST to Monday, February 17 at 6:59 pm PST / 9:59 EST.
During the extended period, players will still be able to unlock the participation bonuses that will become available in the full version of the game.
As a reminder, like the original beta, Open Beta Test 2 includes a character creator with data that can be transferred into the full game, a story mission, and free-roaming hunts with cross-platform multiplayer. Open Beta Test 2 also contains additional content, including new hunts with Gypceros and the game’s flagship monster, Arkveld! The Training Area and online features like Private Lobbies and Online Single Player mode are also included in Open Beta Test 2.
So, this is great news for everyone who was affected by the PlayStation Network outage or for those who just wanted more time with the beta.
Monster Hunter Wilds releases on February 28, 2025, for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
