Look, I know I’m only 35, but I was raised on the classic across many mediums. Music, shows, animation, movies, etc. I know that Hollywood absolutely “doesn’t make them like they used to,” so it makes me appreciate the classics even more! One of the greatest classics of all time is The Breakfast Club, the film by legendary filmmaker John Hughes about five misfits in detention coming together to learn they’re more alike than they realize.
I’ve seen the movie many times, and it still influences pop culture to this day. So, imagine my surprises when I found out C2E2 (the legendary Chicago Comic-Con) is bringing four of the main five cast members together at the show!
The reunion will bring together Molly Ringwald (The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles), Anthony Michael Hall (The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Weird Science), Judd Nelson (The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo’s Fire), and Ally Sheedy (The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo’s Fire, Psych) for a special live taping of the popular podcast Happy Sad Confused, hosted by Josh Horowitz on Saturday, April 12th, 2025.
A question you might have is, “Why now?” That’d be because the iconic film is celebrating its 40th anniversary, so bringing these famous actors together one more time to talk about it is something you won’t want to miss.
