During today’s State of Play event PlayStation finally revealed the long rumored Days Gone Remastered.
As you can see in the trailer this remastered version will come with a bunch of new modes including a permadeath mode, speed run mode and more.
What I found most interesting was the inclusion of new accessibility options. This should open up Days Gone to a whole new audience, which is only a good thing.
If you already own the game on PS4 you will be able to get the PS5 version for an upgrade fee. Oh, and if you played on PC you will be able to purchase all the new content as DLC for Days Gone.
So, technically no Remastered version for PC but this game probably didn’t need a remaster anyway. That being said, I’ll definitely be checking out all the new content and will test the game on PS5 Pro as well.
I just have one concern that I can’t find clarification on at time of writing… will the accessibility options be added to the game for free without the need to upgrade to the PS5 version or buy the DLC pack on PC? I think they should if possible but I also understand that accessibility features take time to implement. Due to the extra work being done, there is a cost to recoup. It would just be a shame if those in need of accessibility for reasons outside of their control had those features locked behind an additional fee.
Days Gone Remastered and The Broken Road DLC pack release for PS5 and PC simultaneously on April 25th 2025.
