Marvel Rivals is a live-service game and its success depends a lot on the new content that NetEase keeps adding to make the game better. One important part of this is the different currencies you can use in the game. In this article, we’ll explain all the types of currency in Marvel Rivals, how to get them, and what each one is for.
Lattice
Lattice is a type of currency that can be converted into other currencies within the game. It’s considered the general currency, useful for almost everything, such as exchanging for Chrono Tokens to level up the Battle Pass.
You can obtain Lattice in two ways:
- Purchase through the game in packs of varying prices (you can access this option by tapping on its icon on the main menu screen).
- Complete Season Missions: Certain seasonal challenges reward you with small amounts of Lattice, so be sure to keep an eye on seasonal events.
Chrono Tokens
Chrono Tokens are used specifically to unlock individual items from the Battle Pass. Each item in the Battle Pass is linked to a certain number of Chrono Tokens, and you’ll need to spend these to claim the rewards.
You can earn Chrono Tokens by completing daily and weekly missions within the game. You can check available missions in the Season Menu on the main screen.
Units
Units are the third type of currency in Marvel Rivals. They are used to unlock items in the in-game store, such as paid skins for specific characters or other features, like changing your account name.
You can earn Units in a similar way to Chrono Tokens by completing certain seasonal missions that reward you with small amounts. You can also get Units as rewards from the Battle Pass each season.
Those are all the currencies available in Marvel Rivals. As you can see, the system is relatively simple, but the ability to convert one currency into another makes things a bit more complex.
Marvel Rivals is currently available to play on the PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
