Launching today the anticipated Indie Action RPG sequel, Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter. Developed by Odd Bug Studio and published by United Label and CI Games, the Souls inspired title features a new protagonist heir to the “Warden of the Wastes” Arlo. Battling against an ancient threat in his own doubly long adventure than the well-received original game, Tails of Iron.
Tails of Iron 2 Updates and Features
The developers took fan feedback and built upon its predecessor by not only introducing the extended story campaign, but by also implementing a new spell-casting system, a larger game world with six biomes, deeper “brutal but fair” combat, and beast hunts
Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter once again features narration from Doug Cockle (Geralt in the Witcher Series) adding serious heft to the story. Players can now harness four elemental abilities, poison, electric, fire, and ice, while also hunting down over 15 Giant beasts that if defeated grant some vital crafting tools.
One of the most interesting aspects of the first game was its “brutal but fair” combat and now players can use those aforementioned spellcasts to set elemental traps, attack from range with arrows and bolts or deal major damage in melee combat with swords and spears. The game promises evolved yet still difficult battles, but thankfully the difficulty can be adjusted at any time.
Improving equipment isn’t just done in hunts or regular combat, but also in base building. The Rat Fortress of Winter’s Edge allows for upgrades with the Smithy, cooking powerful meals to help with healing and also purchase traps at the shoppe as well.
