During Summer Game Fest 2024, my curiosity was piqued by Phantom Blade Zero, and I even had the chance to get some hands-on time with the game. Since then, I’ve been eagerly awaiting new information. While it took some time, today we finally got a fresh gameplay trailer, the Phantom Blade Zero – Year of the Snake gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated “Kung-Fu Punk” game.
In the new trailer, we’re introduced to a boss fight with two distinct phases, as played on a PlayStation 5 Pro. The first phase pits players against seven combatants, requiring them to take down as many enemies as possible while dealing damage to the central figure. Once the boss’s health reaches zero, the second phase begins, escalating into a thrilling battle against a boss who wields what appears to be strings or webs. The fight looks absolutely stunning, and I’m beyond excited for Phantom Blade Zero.
Check out the trailer below.
There’s still no ETA on when we can expect Phantom Blade Zero to be released, this trailer has revealed that we’ll get news of the release date sometime in 2025 for the PlayStation 5 and PC. An Xbox version hasn’t been ruled out either, however, the PS5 and PC versions are the priority as of now.
