Sega has officially announced that Virtua Fighter 5: R.E.V.O. will launch on PC in 2025, complete with stunning 4K visuals and the highly requested rollback netcode for smoother online play.
Built on the foundations of Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown, remastered by AM2 and the Like a Dragon team, this port brings the franchise’s classic 19-character roster to PC. Fans can look forward to Ranked, Versus, and Training modes, alongside Tournaments and Leagues. Additionally, Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown will receive a 2.0 balance update for PlayStation, while the new trailer for R.E.V.O. offers a nostalgic nod to its predecessor.
Here’s what shows up about the game on its Steam page:
Key Features
- The Ultimate Edition of This Legendary Game – Rollback netcode support, gorgeous 4K visuals with updated character models, stages, and cinematics.
- Custom Combatants – Enter the ring with one of 19 playable characters. Master each of their unique fighting styles and customize them with distinctive costumes and items.
- The Full Experience – Enjoy the pinnacle of Virtua Fighter as you battle it out across your favorite modes like Rank Match, Arcade, Training, and Versus

Virtua Fighter 5: R.E.V.O. could be a nod to PlayStation 2’s Virtua Fighter 4 Evo back in 2002. R.E.V.O.’s explanation hasn’t been revealed yet. R.E.V.O. might be enough to hold fans over for the pending Virtua Fighter (possibly 6) game which is in development.
