Beyond Fest announces it will present the North American premiere screening of My Hero Academia: You’re Next as part of its soon to be announced 2024 festival line up. The event screening will take place on Sunday, October 6th at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood ahead of the film’s theatrical debut in theaters on Friday, October 11th. Popular Japanese voice actors Daiki Yamashita who voices Izuku Midoriya and Kenta Miyake who voices All Might and Dark Might are set to attend the event.
My Hero Academia: You’re Next is the fourth theatrical release in the successful anime series and the first to be distributed by Toho International, the company that brought the breakout Oscar Award winning Godzilla Minus One to theaters. The film opened in Japan on August 2, ranking number one in Japanese box office at release with positive reviews. As of August 25, Japanese box office revenue has exceeded 2.74 billion yen with a theatrical attendance of over 1.9 million.

My Hero Academia is the highly successful Japanese anime series based on the popular comics by renowned creator Kohei Horikoshi, which have sold over 100M copies worldwide. My Hero Academia: Your Next marks the fourth theatrical release for the franchise and sees Deku and the other heroes of U.A. High School facing a new threat—a mysterious figure calling himself “Dark Might” who claims to be the new Symbol of Peace.
The movie, produced by Bones, will begin its theatrical run on October 11, 2024 in the U.S. and Canada with both English subtitles and English dub releases.
