While Microsoft has been known for releasing some really cool-looking gaming controllers, we can’t forget that PlayStation has also released some great ones as well. One of these is the newly announced Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense Controller for the PS5 (and PC), which will go up for pre-order on August 9, 2024, priced at $79.99. Thankfully, the Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense Controller will not be exclusive to PlayStation’s online store, meaning that you’ll be able to find it at other retailers such as Best Buy and GameStop. As of now, there aren’t any links to the controller. We’ll update once those go live.
This Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense Controller looks adorable, and I have a feeling it is going to sell out. Made to resemble our pal Astro Bot, the touchscreen features two circles that look like Astro Bot’s eyes. The rest of the controller features blue accents sitting on top of what appears to be a glacier-white DualSense controller.
The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers of the Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense Controller have been upgraded and, according to PlayStation, have been tightened ever so slightly. This is all designed to grab gamers and immerse them into the upcoming Astro Bot title, which will be released on September 6, the same day as the Astro Bot game for the PlayStation 5.
I like it. And yes, while I already have way too many DualSense and Xbox controllers, I can’t resist and know I’ll be grabbing this Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense Controller. Well, assuming I can find it in stores, as again, this will likely sell out. Here’s to hoping that the scalpers don’t ruin everyone’s chances of owning one for themselves.
