The new character, for King of Fighters XV(KOFXV), has been revealed at EVO 2024 today. Many have called it out on social media. And of course, it is Vice and Mature! According to SNK, Vice and Mature are very popular characters in KoF as well as KOF XV. Various points, in the SNK special presentation, were brought up to solidify the choice by SNK. Both characters take their original costumes of ’96 compared to their pant suits in modern games. Thanks to the storyline, and the return of various members of the Orochi, Vice and Mature complete the group of the series somewhat main evil.
[KOF XV]The veil is lifted, and darkness falls…

The characters play differently with Vice being the powerhouse to Mature’s high speed demenor with a couple of rekka based moves. Both contrast each other as well as Iori, their former teammate and leader of their squad back in ’96. How this will change in the latest game is still to be determined. No gameplay has been shown yet for both.
Vice and Mature will be descending onto the King of Fighters XV stage on December 2024 at the same time.
Other SNK Games Forthcoming
SNK also restated that the new Art of Fighting game is real and a Samurai Shodown action RPG is forthcoming. The former is more of an older time of the Southtown city compared to Fatal Fury, but also a fighting game of which Ryo Sakazaki comes from. Art of Fighting’s last title was Path of The Warrior back in 1996. Since then, a majority of the games that the Art of Fighting characters make appearances in is King of Fighters. Samurai Shodown getting a new RPG, since the Japan only original one back in 1997, is a surprise. The 2019 “remake” was the last Samurai Shodown game to come from SNK. Both projects do not have a clear release date or timeframe, but SNK is looking for more developers to throw at these projects.
