Cowabunga, Teenage Mutant Ninja Fans, we’ve got some great news for you, all that concerns Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate. First up is a new 4-player local co-op mode that has just been announced and will be available when the game launches on the Nintendo Switch on July 17, 2024. This is a feature that wasn’t available for the Apple Arcade version of the game.
This new mode was implemented due to the TMNT community, requesting that it wouldn’t be a TMNT game with the ability to play together.
“We’ve been listening to the community and their biggest request has been the addition of couch co-op so they can play with friends and family,” stated Ian Fielding, Studio Head of Super Evil Megacorp. “Playing together is embedded in the DNA of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video games and core to SEMC’s mission, and with Splintered Fate, we went the extra mile to ensure the co-op feature was available for the Switch immediately at launch. We will continue to listen to the community and improve the game overtime based on player feedback.”
This is fantastic news and yet another reason to give the game try when it releases.
However, the next piece of news will excite PC gamers, as is now in development for PC (Steam). While the game was initially revealed as a Switch-only title, things have changed and Super Evil Megacorp is working on a PC version that will be released later in 2024. The store page for the game has already been created for Spteam, and you can go wishlist the game now.
