If you want to get on the list for the upcoming 2XKO home demo, now’s your chance. The new and forthcoming League of Legends-inspired 2v2 tag fighter, due next year, is set to host another beta.
The August beta test will be on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Regrettably, this is just a test for the online capabilities, so offline play may not be available until the full launch. At the moment this beta will be available for a few select regions – the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Brazil, Japan, and Mexico.
The information video, with FGC Content Creator, Sajam, can be seen below with their hitbox controllers in place. The developers discuss how fast the team responds to feedback from the builds. Something noticeable and pretty different from other tag 2D fighters is the Super gauge being separate per fighter.
Players can submit applications here to participate in the 2XKO Alpha Lab (their name, not ours). The regions covered will be the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Japan, and Mexico. In addition, which fighters will be available is unknown at this time. Currently, we’ve only seen a few characters from the roster — Ahri, Ekko, Darius, Yasuo, and Illaoi. It would be nice if Riot introduced a new character before this beta begins.
More recently, 2XKO made a surprise appearance during Combo Break 2024, which took place in May 2024. During the event, the attendees at Combo Breaker were able to get some hands-on with the game, and the impressions form the game were positive.
