During your adventure in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, you may have encountered a painting called “Domains of Dragons,” which shows a massive tree with a crimson background. I’m sure that you’ve wondered where exactly this location is. Well, not to worry—we’ve found it, so there’s no need to thank us.
And while you’re at it, maybe check out our Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree review. Thanks!
Where is the “Domains of Dragons” located
This painting will eventually take players to the bottom-right location of the map, to Jagged Peak. This is the lair of Dragons, and more specifically, where players will eventually fight Bayle. However, getting to this location is misleading, as you have to travel through the Dragon Pit, which is in the image below.
Going through the Dragon Pit is a long trek full of dragons, creatures, and bosses. However, you’ll need to head this way if you want to put an end to Bayle, who is an optional boss and perhaps one of the most challenging bosses in the game.
Head through the Dragon Pit and past the Finger Ruins to eventually reach Jagged Peak. Once you’ve reached the Jagged Peak Mountainside, you’ll see an old man sitting in a chair along the path. This is where you can match up the picture with the location.
The old man will disappear, and for your efforts, you’ll be rewarded with the Rock Heart, an item that transforms you into a dragon figure, at the cost of removing all your armor to use it. This is similar to the Dragon Head Stone and Dragon Torso Stone in Dark Souls III.
I’m not sure about using this during combat since it doesn’t help with your defense, so maybe use this to play around, but put your armor back on when hitting up those tougher mobs and bosses. And there’s the issue of not being able to change back into a human until you die!
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
