Fromsoftware’s Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree adds to an already fantastic game that’s full of wonder, exploration, and lots of bosses that want to kick your ass. But when you come across a cool item, it also makes it that much more special. So, with that in mind, if you’re a caster type and enjoy using gravity magic, then you’ll love this.
Somewhere in the Scaduview, to the uppermost right of the map, is a new gravity magic called Gravitational Missile. This location is perhaps towards the end of the game for many, but regardless, this magic is worth getting.
Plus, we’ll have to visit an old friend to get it.
How to get the Gravitational Missile magic
Once you reach Scaduview, head to the Fingerstone Hill Site of Grace. Once there, head northwest, and you’ll notice a crater on the map. Head over to the crater, and you’ll notice that the Fallingstar Beast, a world boss you may have fought in Elden Ring, has returned.
As far as fighting, he hasn’t changed and doesn’t have any new tricks. Still, he can put you down when he’s still as fast and powerful.
However you decide to fight him, that’s up to you. Once you manage to take him down, you’ll be rewarded with the Gravitational Missile.
Is the Gravitational Missile magic worth getting
Honestly, it depends. There are no trophies or achievements for collecting everything in Shadow of the Erdtree. And the magic itself is very situational. The name is misleading, as it’s not really a missile. It shoots out a ball of gravity magic, and it takes four seconds before it explodes. Depending on the enemy type that you use it against, it will either pull it close to you or explode and do modestly decent damage.
However, as I found it, it also has a hidden usage. If you shoot the Gravitational Missile at the ground or a wall, it instantly explodes, skipping the countdown before it normally does. This effectively turns it into a very quick and damaging spell that shoots out shockwaves, and it is spammable. It’s like a hammer if used improperly, making it worth it.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
